Christmas Time is Here!

Howdy....long time, no see!  ;)

We went to the Opelika Christmas parade this morning to kick-off our holiday season.  There was a crowd of Alabama fans folks in downtown Opelika, and we were lucky to find a shady spot near the beginning of the parade route.

Do you see the same far off expression in my boys?  Weird...

Henry's favorite parts were definitely the bands and the train floats.  

Every time something passed by that he liked he would say, "Bye band" or "Bye train".  He would also occasionally wave at all of the people yelling "Merry Christmas!" from the floats.  

After the parade, we headed to Samford lawn to see Aubie.  I had NO idea how big of a deal this was going to be...the line was literally a mile long and I could not imagine keeping H in a line that long for any reason!  

So we just watched from a distance.

Then, we slid down the hill by the University Library...just for fun.  

After every slide, Henry would race back to the top to "Do again!"  We are definitely bringing a cardboard box next time.

We also decorated for Christmas this past week.  

Henry is obsessed with the tree and has to have the lights on if he is awake.

We are actually so thankful that Henry is acting like himself these days.  He had double pneumonia recently and it was very hard on us all!  We even had to miss our normal Thanksgiving dinners with our families!  Both sets of our parents came to our house to share a Thanksgiving meal with us, so in the end....it all worked out.  

We are praying for a healthy Christmas season!
