This picture is special because my mom is swimming! She never learned how to swim growing up, but she and my Aunt Laura took the plunge (literally) by taking swimming lessons last year. Way to go, Mama Rhonda!
Take a good look at this picture. I don't think I have ever seen all of the Peterson girls together in a pool before. Thank goodness it was only 4 feet deep!
My cousin Brittany and her adorable son, Drew.
Pam and Laura were trying to hide from the camera.
My "too cool for school" cousin, Hannah.
My cousin Kelley and her baby Halaina.
Babies on the beach look so cute. You're only missing the seagull he was trying to attack!
Curly cue
My Granny Joyce gave the paparazzi (Pam and me) a good smile. She couldn't help but laugh after a while.
On the way to Foley (actually the outlet mall) we had to stop by Hope's Cheesecake. If you are ever in the area, you've got to stop by. It is so good!
Hannah and my Aunt Lisa after our meal at Doc's Seafood Shack.
The most interesting part of our trip was because of my Aunt Jeanne. She has been researching our family's history for years now. Recently, she found out that my Great-Great-Great (not sure how many greats) Grandfather owned a house near Gulf Shores in Bon Secour. His name was Lewis Cooper and his home is now a Historical Site. We drove to his house and were blown away at its beauty. Scarlett O'Hara could have walked out of that house at any moment!
The connection was through my Granny Joyce's mother's side of the family.
Three generations (and one on the way).
I'm truly blessed to have such a great family. Here's to many more adventures in the years to come!
